Journal Prompts

Journaling is a great way to untangle that yarn ball of thoughts and feelings and knit them into something tangible and persistent. Simply put, writing things down requires that you think about them in a straightforward manner. Then, once written, you can reflect on them later to better understand your personal journey and development. To get you started, I've prepared some introductory journal prompts. When writing, use your own style and voice. If it takes one sentence, great! If it takes a full page, also great! Everyone's style of processing their thoughts is different. It's getting it on paper that matters!

Let's get journaling!

My goal is...

I am setting this goal because...

My expectations are...

My plan of action is...

My goals make me feel...

Daily check-in:

Today, I am grateful for...

Today, I struggled with...

Today, I am feeling...

Today, I am proud of myself for...

Today, I practiced self care by...

Today, I accomplished...

Today, I learned...

Awareness:

Something I do habitually is...

I am working to build a new habit of...

I can plan to change my habit(s) by...

Intention:

Tomorrow, I will focus on...

Today, I will focus on...

If you use any of these prompts throughout your day today and feel comfortable sharing your response(s), I would love to see them! Tag me on Instagram @intentionally.brie or shoot me a message directly.

Happy journaling!
